Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching

November 9, 2017 - November 11, 2017

” Just as the sun’s gravity keeps the Earth in perfect orbit, our conference keeps the future of science teaching revolving around the success of our students.

Ready to blast off on a mission to explore science teaching in a whole new way? Well then, Houston, We Have a Solution!  STAT’s 60th Anniversary will take place at CAST 2017 in Houston, Texas November 9-11, 2017.  Join us as we celebrate 60 Years of Education and Exploration of science teaching and beyond.”

Lone Star Learning is lucky enough to have the opportunity to attend the CAST 2017 conference again this year.  This is certainly one conference that you never know what to expect!  In previous years we have encountered giant cockroaches, a tree sloth, and a human penguin all in the same exhibit hall!  Be prepared for just about anything, but most of all, innovative and proven teaching solutions for Science teachers!
Sandra is presenting a free exhibitors workshop at this conference that is sure to please!  Entitled Visual Vocabulary Victors, this fast-paced session will help you learn effective ways to present vocabulary to your students that promote retention, application and lifetime understanding of terminology based on Robert Marzano’s 6 step plan for vocabulary acquisition.  Check our booth #854 in the exhibit hall for session time and place.  We can’t wait to see you there!
