I teach 3rd grade Science at Dublin Elementary but I help out our Math teachers by doing the TEKSas Target Practice. My kids love to come to class and get busy working on it. It is challenging and fun! Thank you for the wonderful product.
Target Math enhances our classroom learning while spiraling back through what has previously been taught. I love the questions as they are often posed with higher level question stems. (TEKSas Target Practice, 4th grade, digital user)
Were your ears burning? Last week, a team of visiting teachers paraded through my classroom after school during a school tour and they looked all around my room at the Vocabulary posters all over my walls. They remarked about how colorful and helpful these posters were and asked me where I got them. I told them all about you. Keep up the good work! I use these posters every day in my teaching and more importantly my students use them every day in their learning.
My name is Sharon Shafer. I am a fifth grade teacher at Hempstead Elementary. I was first introduced to Lone Star Learning last year at the CAMT conference in San Antonio. At first, I was reluctant to use their products because I was a fan of a different program. A third grade teacher from my school finally talked me into trying the program. Thank you Lone Star Learning! This year my students went from barely passing TAKS to 95% passing with 41% Commended Performance! My 5th graders love using your TEKSas Target Practice program and it is very easy to implement. Thanks again!
It is always exciting to review best practices for all students and encourage our special educators that TEKS based instruction can be accessible to students with disabilities. We appreciate the structure, visual representation, and strategies embedded in your product design. Thanks for your generosity and support!
I also want you to know that with missing so much school for Hurricane Harvey and snow days, that my kids are shining like stars anyway and I owe it to Lone Star. I believe so much in your program, and I thank you!
