Updated June 2016

This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) tells you about the information that Lone Star Learning Sales and Marketing, Inc (“LSL,” “we” or “our”) collects in connection with the operation of its Lone Star Learning website, (the “Site,” which consists of all content and pages located within the web domain).

This Privacy Policy only applies to information that we collect through the Site and does not apply to information that we may collect from you in other ways (for example, this policy does not apply to information that you may provide to us over the phone, by fax or through conventional mail). In addition, please note that your education records are protected by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (“FERPA”) to the extent FERPA applies.

By using the Site, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you may not use the Site. LSL reserves the right, in our discretion, to change, modify, add or remove portions of this Privacy Policy from time to time, without prior notice to you. All revisions will be posted to the Site. By accessing the Site after any changes have been made, you signify your agreement on a prospective basis to the modified Privacy Policy and any changes contained therein. Be sure to return to this page periodically to ensure familiarity with the most current version of this Privacy Policy.

As used in this Privacy Policy, Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) means any information about yourself that you may provide to us when using the Site, such as when you sign up for a user account, which may include (but is not limited to) your name and contact information. We endeavor to limit the collection of PII to what we need with respect to specific Site activities in order to satisfy business, legal, or regulatory requirements.

Contact form submission data ó IP address, user agent, name, email address, website, and message ó is submitted to the Akismet service (owned by Automattic) for the sole purpose of spam checking. The actual submission data is stored in the database of the site on which it was submitted and is emailed directly to the owner of the form (i.e. the site author who published the page on which the contact form resides). This email will include the submitterís IP address, timestamp, name, email address, website, and message.

Data Synced: Post and post meta data associated with a userís contact form submission. If Akismet is enabled on the site, the IP address and user agent originally submitted with the comment are synced, as well, as they are stored in post meta. Purchase events will send Google Analytics the following information: order number, product id and name, product category, total cost, and quantity of items purchased.

Data Used: When sharing content via ShareThis or email, the following information is used: sharing partyís name and email address (if the user is logged in, this information will be pulled directly from their account), IP address (for spam checking), user agent (for spam checking), and email body/content. This content will be sent to Akismet (also owned by Automattic) so that a spam check can be performed.

We collect information, including PII (described above), when you sign up for a user account and/or send us email messages.

As a custodian of PII, LSL complies with the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), to the extent FERPA applies, in its handling of education records. Upon termination or cancellation of a Customer contract, LSL will delete all PII data from its records. LSL may retain aggregate, non-identifying usage information for the purpose of reporting, analytics, and improving LSL's products and services.

Upon our collection of your PII, LSL may use such information internally, separately or in combination with pre-existing information, for the following purposes:

To provide any requested services;

To improve our products;

To customize your experience, content or homepage on the Site;
